Here is a decent project truck. We resurected this one to a running and
driving truck with most all correct components. There is some rust on the
cab at the base of the kick panels and on the cowl. The cowl vent has been
covered over because of this rust. I have a good cowl vent panel that I
have taken from a donor truck that goes with. Some rust on the sides of
the cowl at the windshield pivot brackets. The cargo box rust can be seen
in the following photos. Front fenders are good as are the running boards.
The engine runs so well with the non-stock carb that I did not change it
out. 60 psi oil pressure at idle! I changed out the head gasket, blown between
3& 4 and the cylinders had virtually no ring ridge, so the engine is
healthy. New water pump, fuel pump, overhauled distributor, new oil hoses,
new temp gauge, new filterette harness under dash, new choke and throttle
cables. I also installed other switches, and gauges, but these are not new,
but good used. I am currently running this off the small gas can on the
bumper until the original tank comes back from ReNu. Truck is currently
set up on 12V, but can be put back to 6V by replacing the coil. Will need
a new inner windshield frame, outer is in good condition. We stock new inners.
The left rear cargo box dimple is cut out, but I have one to go with.
