Montana Trip - Page 3

On the way home, we did not go on the freeway. For once, we had extra time so we went on roads less traveled, and it was worth it! Here is a WWII Catapillar dozer.

A Studebacker US6. Very nice front end and frame. We got out and inspected it. Did not find out if it was for sale. No one around.

A military crane. Still had the original paint and markings on it. We did not get the manufacture or model number. Too far out in the yard.

We spotted this maintenance body on the roadside. I believe it is civilian, but nice to see it anyway.

A very nice Chevy 1.5 ton dump model. I am working on this one. Banged on lots of doors to find the owner. The doors were 20 miles apart out there, so it took some time.

Ryan sizing it up. He was all fired up to find the owner. At least this guy took the time to raise the box up so the water ran out. NO RUST, YEAH!!!

A van body mulitfuel duece sitting between some houses. We found this one by accident. We had turned off the road 2 miles from here because we thought we saw a FFPW and doubled back to check it out. False alarm.

A cold lonely jeep sitting in MN. Last licensed in 97. I don't think it has moved from there since then. Pretty tough shape.

Ok, what is it? Can you guess?

It is a Lot 2 Scout car. Someone had grafted a GMC 135 cab, axles, steering, and front grill onto the beast. What a mess. I did get some really nice parts off of it to help me finish my Lot 1 Scout car project. Some other stuff for sale too.

Monday morning 7:30 a.m. Six trucks waiting to be unloaded, and Karl wondering what the heck I did. I said I was only going to bring home parts. He was shaking his head for hours.
