This 155 Long Tom Howitzer was there as an advertisement for his business.
It had been sectioned in a whole bunch of places and welded together just
enought to keep it in this position. No under carriage left either.

Four of us spent two days parting out trucks. Here is my buddy, Don trying
to figure out what to carry next.
He was kind of our pack mule. The first day snowed on us the whole time,
boy we got wet.

CONTEST: Anyone know what these are??????
I bought 8 of these. WWII dated. E-mail me with your guesses, I will send
a tee shirt to the 1st five people who get it right.
CONTEST RESULTS:
These are artillery skis. These skis were used on the wheels of towed artillery
and towed anti-aircraft trailers. They were used to transport these pieces
of equipment on soft terrain such as sand or snow.
The only right answer came from Peter D. in Chicago. He will receive a free tee-shirt.
All eight skis have been sold and are enroute to the George C. Marshall Museum in Holland.

What's left of a closed cab CCKW.

There were about 6 of these in about the same condition. Poor old half tracks!

Same as the contest photo above, just a varient.

Just a torchin'. Man those sparks are hot. I have so many burn marks, made
me look like I had chicken pox.

Small fire there. Ryan pickin pieces. We parted out about 10 M37/M43 trucks.
Not much left there, they had been picked over hard over the years.
